The day has finally come and reviews for the 2nd Annual White Elephant Film Blogathon are rolling in. Special thanks to GreenCine Daily and Paul Clark at the Screengrab for helping get the word out.
Most of the reviews are up now but there are a few stragglers so keep checking back. Once you're done reading all the great submissions, leave a comment and let us know who you think had it the worst.

Hedonia: It has no name. Many brave men died to bring it here from the Galaxy of Pleasure... It will make your nights with Ming more... agreeable.
Dale Arden: Will it make me forget?
Hedonia: No, but it will make you not mind remembering.

Looks like my pick was so awful it sucked the reviewer into a black hole, never to be seen again.

Hopefully that's not the case, there are still more coming but they might roll in over the next couple days.

Egads, is anyone else getting attacked for NOT liking their assigned "White Elephant" flick?
Here's an emotional comment someone posted on my blog in response to my negative review of "Only the Strong":
"Anonymous said... WOW! you are one harsh SOB aren't uou?? Is there ANYTHING that you DO like? Let's see you go out and make a movie and let US tell you what we think about YOU! Let's see if you can do it better !!"

I just discovered this blogathon--looks fun. But why oh why do you have to call it this?! Manny Farber's "White Elephant" was such a perfect name for self-important, big-budget, stodgy movies. Its opposite, the vigorous B stuff, he called "Termite" cinema. When I first read about the site I was hoping for one that skewered "important" movies. Instead I just see more riffing on the usual low-end, Termite stuff. Oh well.
