The White Elephant Film Blog-a-Thon!
Yeehaw!
Lucidscreening is taking a shot at organizing a blog-a-thon and because it's going to fall on April 1st, we decided to have a little fun and make it a "white elephant" blog-a-thon! Don't worry if you don't know what this entails, we just made it up. However, if you're familiar with a white elephant gift exchange, this is kinda similar (although not exactly...).
Anyway, here's how it's going to work: anybody who wants to participate can e-mail me the title of a film they want to see reviewed by someone else. It can be a film you made, a really bad film you've seen, a really bad film you're afraid to see, or something really shitty from YouTube. It can be a film that's actually good too but then you might as well review it yourself, no? The only limitation is that it should be something that is easily accessible, whether online or at a video store.
Once I receive enough submissions, I'll randomize the list and assign films to participants. Once you've been assigned a film, you're expected to post your review of it on April 1st.
If I haven't confused you and you want to participate, this is what I need you to e-mail me:
Your name and the film you want reviewed (and any relevant links if it's online). That's it.
Send that info to Ben@lucidscreening.com with the subject line "blogathon" (or something similar) and hopefully I can start sending out assignments in mid-February.
Thanks!

The white buffalo is an amazing and illusive animal. Picture wild horses running up and down the bayou and you've got yourself a western.

Any updates? Do you have a list of titles we can chose from or are we assigned? Do you have a list of titles yet?

I came here to ask the same question. We've got another month before this happens, and with school + living in a smallish town I'd like to start this ASAP so I can be sure to find whatever I'm recommended.
